4th IS lesson
Hi everyone,
This blog post would be all about my fourth IS lesson. Today, we were taught on CSS. CSS stand for Cascading Style Sheet. CSS was taught after the third IS lesson, on html as they came hand in hand. CSS can help one to beautify the web page, for example add borders, edit font, add colour, etc...
We were also told to do a CSS challenge at the end of the lesson. CSS was a little more complicated than html to me as there were certain language that I did not understand. But, with the help of my partner, we managed to complete the challenge together. The part that was most confusing to me was when we had to find the background texture with was not found in the colour encoding page. But after asking around my friends, we found out how to find the background texture. I was also interesting to add the dotted border and centralize the page as well as to italicize the words.
After much CSS editing, the page was 'beautified' and I had a lot of fun. I hope to do CSS again. Hope you look forward to my next blog post.

3rd IS Lesson
Hi everyone,
This is my next post on my Info com Studies 3rd lesson. Today, we learnt about html and I finally understood what it was. Html stands for Hypertext Markup Language I have also learnt about some of the simple html language for example: (html) (/html) (h1) (/h1) (body) (/body>).() is replaced with <> as blogger.com does not accept the html tags
I found it very interesting learning about how a web page is actually created using html. Adding different headings, links, pictures and even paragraphs. When it was time for us to do it ourselves (edit a html-html challenge) I took quite some time to figure out and recall the different language and soon after, I managed to complete the challenge.
One of the hardest task for me was to insert a relative picture. It was quite difficult was we had to type it the border, length and width and had to remember the format of the whole thing. But, all in all I had fun and learnt a lot about html.
I suppose if I have another chance to do html, I would definitely look forward to it. Hope you look forward to my next blog post.

2nd IS lesson
Hi all,
This blog post would be about my second IS lesson. We were told to do a forum discussion on a website. The topic I had to do was on the social impact of new media Well, I had a great time finding the information online as well as watching the various videos on the website. I found it very interesting that the Social impact of new media was so great. There was one video on H.C.I which I found it really eye opening. The technology was so much more advanced that our modern technology, whereby the devices listen to voice and then react by help us do various things like checking mail and calling a friend. This is a technology I would like to have very much, and that might happen as technology advanced in the future.
I also posted a comment on another discussion forum under intellectual property - Is copy right? I posted a reply saying that I agreed on what my classmate said that many people just copy and paste a piece of information on the Internet without seeking permission. This is wrong as the information is a piece of the author's intellectual property. However I also noticed that the piece of information my friend typed out was similar to the one on Wikipedia. I posted a note indirectly telling him that many people on the net use website like Wikipedia the get the information from.
Thank you for reading the blog post.
